We held our group meeting at Darwin's house here at Amanah apartment.
In this group meeting we discuss our portal progress and to find any resources related to portal development.

Portal is finish..almost

It's been a long time for the new update here since everybody is lazy to open the blog and make new update... however, right now as I write this sentences, we are in our portal development process and to tell you frankly it is very difficult than you think because if we just develop website is quite easy compare to develop portal as it required more functions such as upload and feedback functions and also the database structure... but we took it as one of our challenges as SE student..

-In our second meeting with Mrs.Badariah, we discussed on what should be updated in the blog and our lecture explained that the main function of the blog is to act as a report for our se-project, and other than that we are also free to publish anything.
-we also asked our lecture to explain on how to create a planning diagram and how should we present the first blog presentation.

-In this meeting, we discuss and design the question needed for our interview with the portal project’s customer (Mrs.Badariah) to collect the requirements of our project.
-in designing the questions, we prepared critical questions like what the portal design is for and what function it requires. But we also design questions about the detail requirements such as, colour of the portal and theme.

Presentation
-we were required to prepare for the first presentation on portal.
-So we discussed and decided witch part of the blog should be presented, for example why we used www.ink2u.blogspot as our url.
-And then we picked tree presenter to present the blog and every presenter will present different part of the blog.

Process module
-Lecturer, Mrs. Badariah gave each group a transparency OHP paper to draw the tracking progress of the portal project.
-On the OHP paper we need to create the phases, steps and activities regarding the portal development which is part of the planning and managing project.
-Somehow, only few groups manage to present as madam didn't satisfied with the progress requirements.
-So all groups including ours, submit the OHP so that madam may correcting and suggest the new phases, steps or activities.

-The first group meeting was to discuss about our first assignment in SE, which is to create a blog.
- In our meeting agenda, we discuss about choosing the blog host, the name of the blog, URL, page elements, contents and other additional features.
- As the result, we had chosen blogger.com to be the blog host and www.ink2u.blogspot.com as our url.
- From this task also we start to add blog post and learn something about the blog itself from this assignment.

5 Important Things wee need to do before headin' to madam's class

There are 5 important things we need to do, before headin' to Madam Badariah's class

• make sure you had your breakfast.
• understand all previous chapters
• make sure u brought along some sweets(if possible bring some Karipap so that that u can share with your friends)
• Your notes. (make sure u bring all chapter, In case madam would ask a question which may came from previous chapter)
• Make sure that you are ready to be asked by madam. (Famous word that will come out from madam's mouth, QUESTION???)

Ariane 5 Inquiry Board Report

Some excerpt from the report for Ariane 5 failure;

3.2 CAUSE OF THE FAILURE
The failure of the Ariane 501 was caused by the complete loss of guidance and attitude information 37 seconds after start of the main engine ignition sequence (30 seconds after lift- off). This loss of information was due to specification and design errors in the software of the inertial reference system.
The extensive reviews and tests carried out during the Ariane 5 Development Programme did not include adequate analysis and testing of the inertial reference system or of the complete flight control system, which could have detected the potential failure.

Ariane 5 Flight 501 Failure

Flight 501, which took place on June 4, 1996, was the first test flight of the Ariane 5 expendable launch system. It was not successful. Due to a malfunction in the control software the rocket veered off its flight path 37 seconds after launch. It was torn apart by high aerodynamic forces which caused the onboard computer to trigger self-destruction.
The breakup caused the loss of the payload: four Cluster mission spacecraft, resulting in a loss of more than $ 370 million.
It is one of the most famous computer bugs in history.

The Ariane 5 software reused the specifications from the Ariane 4, but the Ariane 5's flight path was considerably different and beyond the range for which the reused code had been designed. Specifically, the Ariane 5's greater acceleration caused the back-up and primary inertial guidance computers to crash, after which the launcher's nozzles were directed by spurious data. Pre-flight tests had never been performed on the re-alignment code under simulated Ariane 5 flight conditions, so the error was not discovered before launch.

'WoW' Windows Vista

Windows Vista, Microsoft's latest OS was officially launch in KL Convention Centre for preview to the business and corporate leaders yesterday (which is Saturday Feb 3) and for public release and viewing in Low Yat Plaza starting today. (Let's go!)

Windows Vista, along side with Microsoft Office 2007 and Exchange Server 2007 promises a core platform which enables business to reap the benefits of Internet-based software that offer balance of control, convenience, increase productivity and of course greater security and entertainment.

Windows Vista ships in six editions. All editions except Windows Vista Starter support both x32 and x64 processor.

Now, it makes our XP looks obsolete. ^^..

SE project - 2nd group meeting - portal phase activity.

On our second group meeting in COiT, we are required to prepare for the first presentation on portal.

SE Project - Assignment 1 group meeting.

David Beckham moves to America..

On 11 January 2007, it was announced that English footballer David Beckham had signed a $275 million USD (£128 million GBP), five-year deal with Major League Soccer franchise, the Los Angeles Galaxy, which includes a $50 million USD ($10 million USD per year) salary (an estimated USD 192,307 or GBP 97,855 per week), retention of existing sponsorship contract rights estimated to be worth $25 million USD, merchandising sales, and share of the club profits. Big Foot

Johor and Sabah - 2nd cycle of big flood

As predicted earlier during the first flood by the Meteorologist department about the second major flood become a reality.. this is cause by the season changing like heavy rain continously for days.

most of the Johor was affected by this disaster where the schools is forced to shut down or closed and become the shelter for the flood evacuees.

Many roads became inaccessible due to the ground andd bridge collapsed and rising water.

The disaster also affected on Borneo state of Sabah which up to date 2 schools is been closed down due tu the flood there.

What we hope and pray that this second time flood will not take another victims and the people should prepare and get ready for any future disaster.

Any aid and help for the flood victims is welcome.

STRANGE?

it's strange coz moust of the university students "in other university"already got their ptptn loans, but my bank card still say's EK!!!!!!!!! NO MONEY. this gives us the dificulty to buy books and even to eat. Dont no, but maybe the holly day that slow them down? what do you think?

Cold Friday...

Today is a cold day with no sun at all. It is very cold here inside Lab 4, COiT. It is look like it is gonna be raining. Today is Friday and there are lots of homeworks and assignmwnt needs to be done during weekends.. So sleepy.. ^()^

Student view

Today i guess I had my fourth class in software engineering, lecturer has a very good style in lecturing so that, she will keep the boredom away out the classroom by asking a lote of questions and making some jokes to get our attention, even though some questions were discussed in details from previous class but I keep on forgotten, i was surprised today that there was one question i had reviewed before i get to the class by few minutes before later i had to ask the lecturer again because of my weak memory which i can call short-term memory. once i closed my notes everything was gone with winds. it's obvious that these kind of subjects require a lote of continous reading at most an hour of reading per day this if i wasn't enforced to start memorising what i am reading rather than catching the point, eventually i am hoping of getting an A in this heavy course.

Eye on Malaysia, soar up on the sky..

A new giant ferris wheel in KL and it will be a main attraction for tourists during the Visit Malaysia Year 2007. Built at the cost of RM 30 million, these removable ferris wheel dubbed as 'Eye on Malaysia' is situated at Titiwangsa Lake Garden is inspired from The London Eye in England.
Launch yesterday by Prime Minister at the official grand launch that attract many tourists and also the local. Many activities held there beside the ferris wheel official opening such as fireworks display, jet ski ride, and performance by local artist.

Bet that a lot of people will Q for hours to the ride since it is a new thing here in KL.

Hope that we have an opportunity to take ride with this wheel soon.. and also hope the ticket ride will be cheaper too, though ;)
